Humboldt County Sheriff's deputies say they found about 13,000 marijuana plants growing at an outdoor garden in the Valmy area.
Deputies say a tip from two off-roaders on Tuesday led them to the farm, located north of Valmy and south of the Humboldt River. Deputies say it appears the garden was separated into three different sections along with a pumping and piping system which connected the gardens to the river.
Deputies say no suspects were found, but they did find items belonging to people which indicated their recent presence.
Deputies destroyed the private property garden on Wednesday and say the approximate street value of the grow was from $1.5 to $1.9 million.
If you have any information on the marijuana garden, you can call Secret Witness at 775-623-6969 or the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office at 775-623-6419.
