There were plenty of Barbeques and parties with friends and family happening around the country, all to celebrate the 4th of July.
Of course, thousands of locals flocked to Sparks to watch the traditional "Star Spangled Sparks" fireworks show Wednesday. The show was delayed by nearly an hour because of wind.
Many of you took to Facebook to tell Channel 2 News about your experience.

Crystal Flippo-Roberts: "It was worth the wait the fireworks were stunning and beautiful as always.. Everyone once they started were respectful and very quiet. It was an awsome show:)))"
Genah Ponaire: "Being with someone that has to work at 4am and having young kids along, we had to leave our sweet spot before they started. At least we had 3 hours of hanging out and BBQing"
Meanwhile, some talked about the wind delay.
Tina Hotte-Martini wrote: "We sat on the mountain at Northtowne from 8:45 to 10:15 and it was cold and freezing - way too windy for fireworks. We gave up and came home."
Susan Schwertfeger: "Ya know with the fire danger, come on people, better to err on the side of caution.... every year there is a delay of sorts for the wind... Obviously one would hope that some sort of announcement would be made via the radio stations. Yay for those who stuck it out..."
Debbie Routson: "Its better to be safe...we didn't need anymore fires...besides...4th of July isn't just about the fireworks or being with family : ) Big Thank You to all those who sacrifice for our freedoms♥"
