Reno firefighters are investigating several suspicious fires in the Lemmon Valley area early Sunday morning.
One started around 12:30 a.m. off of Lear Boulevard and Military Road. When crews arrived, they found two abandoned buildings on fire.
As they worked to put out those structure fires, they received a report of two brush fires burning nearby. Crews were able to keep those to about a half acre and a quarter of an acre.
The cause is under investigation.
"With three simultaneous starts in three different locations, obviously, we're looking real hard at an arsonist," said Battalion Chief Todd Keckley of the Reno Fire Department.
Officials say calm winds at the time of the fire helped crews put it out.
