Reno Police have a convenience store clerk behind bars accused of selling alcohol to minors and sexual assault.

Police have been investigating claims that a clerk at the Grab And Go Market on West 4th Street sold alcohol to minors and unlawfully grabbed or touched girls, including a 14-year old who attempted to buy alcohol from him on June 20th.

On Wednesday, detectives sent a female officer to the store, posing as a minor attempting to buy alcohol.

Police say when the officer met with the clerk, 32-year old Iqbal Sidhu, he allegedly grabbed her breasts and sold her alcohol, thinking she was 18-years old.

Police soon arrested Sidhu on several charges, including two counts of open and gross lewdness, battery with the intent to commit sexual assault and selling alcohol to a minor.

The Reno Police Department is asking parents to talk to their children about the dangers of attempting to buy alcohol and drugs. Police say these illegal actions expose children to dangerous individuals that prey on and victimize them.

Police say there could be more victims in this case, involving Sidhu.

If you have any information on this case, Sidhu, or you've been victimized by him, you're being asked to call Reno Police at 334-2115 or Secret Witness at 322-4900. You can also text your tip to 847-411.
