HAWS Corporation to Hold Job Fair

Haws is a100-year-old international manufacturer of emergency response equipment, drinking fountains, and Brita Hydration stations. The company is hosting a job fair this week to fill open positions.

Open Positions:

Operations Manager -- 
Responsibilities include overseeing and coordinating the operation of the Receiving, Production, Shipping, Concrete, Quality Control, Traffic, Safety and Maintenance departments in accordance with company policies and procedures; implementing strategic direction; analyzing metrics for continuous improvement, including ISO 9000; and establishing and overseeing annual operations budget. Qualifications: Knowledge and experience in continuous improvement methodologies, including six sigma and/or lean manufacturing, excellent communication skills and the ability to effect change. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S. preferred) from four year college or university and a minimum of 7 years related operations management experience in a manufacturing environment.

Mechanical/Design Engineer --
Responsibilities include researching, planning and designing custom mechanical and electromechanical products and systems to meet customer and industry standard specifications; providing input on the quotation process; and reviewing drawings prior to assembly. Qualifications: Strong electro-mechanical background; proficient in SolidWorks; strong CAD skills including both 2D and 3D systems; systems design including process and instrumentation diagrams, excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interface with technical people. Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years design engineering in an industrial market; prior experience working with industry standards including ANSI, CSA and UL. Familiarity with NFPA and NEC codes for equipment designed for hazardous environments.

Electrical Engineer --  
Responsibilities include researching, planning and designing custom electro-mechanical products, including pump motor control; electrical control panel assembly and wiring; and installing lighting, alarms, heating and refrigeration controls. Qualifications: Strong system design background, good working knowledge of SolidWorks and prior experience working with industry standards including ANSI, CSA and UL. Familiarity with NFPA and NEC codes for equipment designed for hazardous environments. Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years prior experience.

Pipefitter/Assembler --
Responsibilities include assembling plumbing, piping and electrical wiring components according to specifications outlined in engineered drawings and assisting with assembly of other units as needed. Qualifications: Ability to work in a team environment. Education and Experience: Minimum 3 years pipefitting experience required. Electrical experience helpful.
