A man died after he accidentally ran himself over Thursday afternoon in south Reno.
Reno police tell us the 64-year-old man suffered a medical episode while pulling out of his driveway on Caughlin Creek Crossing, then somehow the Jeep Grand Cherokee ran him over - as he was trying to get out.
Police don't know yet if the man died from the medical event or the accident.
But they did say this type of terrible accident is another reminder why everyone needs to be extra careful - especially with warmer weather on the way.
"Everybody needs to be well aware of their own personal health and have some self-awareness in those regards. If its too hot for ya to move around, stay inside with the air conditioning on and pour yourself a nice beverage," says Reno Sgt. Joe Robinson.
Sgt. Robinson also suggested having family or friends drive you -- if you're worried about your capabilities.
