Firefighters worked on a brushfire that destroyed a structure in Lemmon Valley Wednesday afternoon.
Fire officials say it started just after 4 p.m. near a home on Heindel Road. They say the winds made the fire spread to a storage shed and destroyed everything inside. Crews quickly contained the blaze to about a quarter acre.
The cause is under investigation.
"What we have reports of is a solid object came in contact with power lines," said Battalion Chief Todd Keckley of the Reno Fire Department. "We're doing further investigation on that to determine if that did cause the fire."
Officials say a nearby resident in the area was treated for smoke inhalation.
