Reno Police say a citizen helped hold a vehicle burglary suspect until they could arrive on scene to arrest him.

Just after 5 a.m. Sunday morning, police say the man saw the suspect inside his vehicle trying to steal his radio in the 300 block of Broadway Boulevard.

The man got a legally-owned firearm and held the burglary suspect at gunpoint until police arrived.

The suspect, 20-year-old Jairo Aguiar-Perez, was booked on vehicle burglary charges and a parole and probation hold for a previous robbery with a deadly weapon charge.
