TUCSON, Ariz.—Jake Elmore hit a go-ahead RBI triple in the top of the 12th inning Thursday night, lifting the Reno Aces to a come-from-behind 4-2 victory over the Tucson Padres in the series opener at Kino Stadium.

Reno trailed 2-0 through eight innings, but scored twice in the ninth to force extra frames, and then pushed across two more in the 12th to take their first lead of the game. In the bottom half of the 12th, Sam Demel retired the side in order to seal Reno's fourth-straight win and ninth in its last 10 games.

Demel (1-3) earned the win, working two scoreless frames to close out the ballgame. Aces starter Barry Enright took a no decision, despite scattering just two runs on five hits over seven innings of work. Sandwiched between Enright and Demel, Zach Kroenke, Jonathan Albaladejo, Joe Paterson and Jensen Lewis combined for three scoreless innings of relief.

The loss fell to Tucson reliever Cory Burns (1-2), who worked a scoreless 11th before surrendering both Reno runs in the 12th. He was the seventh Padres pitcher of the evening.

At the dish for Reno, Elmore's triple pushed his hitting streak to a career-high 17-straight games. A.J. Pollock singled and doubled, providing the Aces' lone multi-hit effort. Brent Clevlen tied the game in the ninth with a two-out, pinch-hit single in his Aces debut.

The series continues Friday night at Kino Stadium. RHP Trevor Bauer (2-0, 2.52 ERA) gets the nod for Reno, while Tucson counters with RHP Kip Wells (1-1, 2.78 ERA).  First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. PT, and the action can be heard live on Fox Sports 630 AM or by visiting RenoAces.com.

Reno returns home on Thursday, June 14. Tickets are on-sale now at RenoAces.com, by calling (775) 334-7000 or by visiting the Aces Ballpark Ticket Office.
