Charles Brewer dealt a complete game three-hitter for Reno Monday night, lifting the Aces to a 6-2 victory over the Las Vegas 51s at Cashman Field.

Brewer (3-4) scattered three hits with no walks and nine strikeouts in a 101-pitch effort. The lone blemishes to his line were solo home runs in the fifth and eighth innings.

Brewer's complete game was the ninth in Aces franchise history—and just the fourth nine-inning complete game. It marked the right-hander's fourth-career complete game, but his first nine-inning effort.

The Aces offense put up three runs in the first, and that would prove to be enough. Reno took advantage of home runs by Mike Jacobs, Randy Ruiz and Cole Gillespie to roll to its seventh victory in the last eight games.

Las Vegas starter Andrew Carpenter (3-1) took the loss, surrendering six runs on 11 hits over 5.2 innings of work.

In addition to home runs by the 4-5-6 hitters in the Aces order, Adam Eaton and Ryan Wheeler recorded three hits apiece.

The Aces go for the series victory on Tuesday night at Cashman Field. LHP Patrick Corbin (1-1, 5.73 ERA) gets the nod for Reno, while RHP Scott Richmond (5-3, 5.51 ERA) toes the slab for Las Vegas. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. PT, and the action can be heard live on Fox Sports 630 AM or by visiting RenoAces.com.

Reno returns home on Thursday, June 14. Tickets are on-sale now at RenoAces.com, by calling (775) 334-7000 or by visiting the Aces Ballpark Ticket Office.
