The Lyon County Sheriff's Office has a man behind bars after a shooting early Sunday morning.

Around 4:15 a.m., deputies received a report of shots being fired in the 900 block of Jessica Lane in the Donner Trails subdivision of Fernley.

Deputies soon found the 32-year old victim with several gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen in the parking lot of the Fox Peak convenience store. He was rushed to Renown Medical Center in Reno where he is currently in the intensive care unit.

Deputies say they later received information about a possible suspect in the shooting, 20-year old Richard Page. When deputies tried to make contact with Page, he reportedly ran off and was soon caught and arrested on five outstanding arrest warrants and was taken to the Lyon County Jail.

Page was also booked on attempted murder, battery with a deadly weapon and several other charges.

During the foot pursuit, a Lyon County Sheriff Detective was injured and was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released. Deputies would not release how the detective was injured.
