Mike Jacobs homered and Joe Martinez won his fourth-straight start for the Aces Sunday afternoon, as Reno cruised past the Las Vegas 51s, 12-5, at Cashman Field.

The Aces pushed across two runs in the second to take an early lead, then scored six times in the third to put the game out of reach for good. Reno has won six of its last seven games and stays atop the Pacific North Division standings.

Martinez (4-3) ran his winning streak to four-consecutive starts, scattering four runs on seven hits over 6.1 innings of work. After his exit, Mike DeMark allowed a run in 1.2 frames before Sam Demel slammed the door in the ninth.

The loss fell to Las Vegas starter Chris Schwinden (0-1), who surrendered eight runs—seven earned—on eight hits over three innings.

At the plate for the Aces, Jacobs' three-run homer sparked a six-run Reno third inning. Ryan Budde drove in three runs, and six Aces batters registered a multi-hit effort. Jake Elmore doubled twice, running his hitting streak to a career-best 15 games.

The series continues Monday night at Cashman Field. RHP Charles Brewer (2-4, 6.38 ERA) toes the slab for Reno, while RHP Andrew Carpenter (3-0, 3.38 ERA) counters for Las Vegas. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. PT, and the action can be heard live on Fox Sports Radio 630 AM or by visiting RenoAces.com.

Reno returns home on Thursday, June 14. Tickets are on-sale now at RenoAces.com, by calling (775) 334-7000 or by visiting the Aces Ballpark Ticket Office.
