Police Investigate Shooting in Wadsworth

Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal Police say a man was shot Wednesday night in Wadsworth.

Investigators say 30-year-old Johnny Thomas shot the 33-year-old in the chest around 8:00pm on Rabbit Circle, just off SR 447.

Police describe the victim's injury as a "grazing wound." The victim was treated at a Reno hospital and released.

The Nevada Highway Patrol and Washoe County Sheriff's Deputies helped locate Thomas. Deputies say he was found passed out in his car along I-80 near USA Parkway.

They also found a high-powered rifle in his car.
