The victim of a deadly officer-involved shooting in downtown Reno has been identified as a 41-year-old Reno man.
Washoe County sheriff's spokesman Armando Avina says Jace Herndon died in the shooting Friday afternoon near Wingfield Park.
Investigators have released few details other than to stay Herndon was the driver of a stolen vehicle, and the shooting occurred after officers conducted a "high-risk felony traffic stop" of it.
The sheriff's office is leading a multi-agency investigation of the case.
Four officers involved in the shooting have been placed on routine administrative leave. Their names haven't been released.
