Reno scored the game's first nine runs and never looked back Saturday night, cruising past the Oklahoma City RedHawks 14-9 in front of 7,947 fans at Aces Ballpark.
The Aces put up a run in the first, then four in each of the next two frames to take a lead they would not relinquish. Seven Aces batters registered a multi-hit game, including three-hit efforts for Adam Eaton, Taylor Harbin and Konrad Schmidt. Harbin and Schmidt drove in four runs apiece.
The win went to Aces starter Joe Martinez (1-3), who scattered five runs on nine hits over six-plus innings. Martinez walked one and struck out three, while helping his cause at the plate with two singles, an RBI and a run scored. After his exit, three Reno relievers held the RedHawks to four runs over the game's final three frames.
Saturday's loss fell to RedHawks starter Dallas Keuchel (4-3), who surrendered 12 runs on 13 hits in four innings of work.
Reno's 14 runs matched a season high, while its 18 hits were most in a nine-inning game this season.
