Nearly 8 months after that tragic crash at the Reno Championship Air Aaces, an advisory committee has made its recommendation for this year's event.
The National Air Races Advisory Committee has announced it will recommend approval of a one-year permit to the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority.
That permit will require the Air Racing Association to follow any new safety advice from the National Transportation Safety Aoard and pay any increases in insurance.
The recommendation will be officially presented to the board next week.
The September 16th crash killed 11 people including a pilot and seriously injured 70 others.
