The University of Nevada (25-21) baseball team dropped a doubleheader to Seattle (21-19) at Bannerwood Park today by scores of 2-1 and 4-1.  The Wolf Pack is now 25-21 while the Redhawks improved to 21-19.  The final game of the three game series is scheduled for noon on Sunday.

 GAME 1

In game one the Pack got a home run from first baseman Brett Jones in the top of the second inning and held a 1-0 advantage until SU tied the score at 1-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning.  The game remained tied until the 10th inning when the Redhawks got a two-out bases loaded RBI single from pinch hitter Jace Sloan to secure the 2-1 extra inning victory.

Sean Prihar (1-1) was tagged with the loss allowing the run in the 10th inning.  Kyle Doyle (1-0) won his first game of the season pitching two scoreless innings.

Jay Anderson (3-for-4), Garrett Yrigoyen (2-for-4) and Jones (2-for-4,R,RBI) had multiple hits for the Pack.  Jones drove in the only run with his first home run of the season.

Macelino Morales (2-for-4,R), Steve Kirbach (2-for-4,RBI) and Zack Aaker (2-for-4) led the Redhawks with two hits each.

GAME 2

In game two the Redhawks scored twice in the first and once in the second innings on the way to the 4-1 victory.  The Pack got a single run in the top of the seventh inning on Joe Kohan's RBI single but that would be all the scoring for Nevada.

Tom Jameson (5-2) was tagged with the loss giving up four runs but just two were earned in his 7.1 innings of action.  Seafth Howe (4-3) earned the win giving up just one run in his eight innings on the mound.  Eric Yardley (4) pitched a scoreless ninth to record his fourth save of the season.

Kewby Meyer (2-for-4) collected two of Nevada's seven hits in game two.

Morales (2-for-4,R) and Trent Oleszczuk (2-for-4,2R) each had two hits for the Redhawks.  Sloan drove in two in the second game of the doubleheader.
