Union Pacific Railroad in Sparks is teaming up with the Food Bank of Northern Nevada for its 150th anniversary to help fight hunger in our community.
They're hoping to fill a box car with food.
"We're taking the next three days and hopefully we can get a lot of support from the community, you can see the support we've had already from some of our employees, so we're gong to try and fill this boxcar," says Ben Ritter.
If completely filled, the box car would hold about 80,000 pounds of food - and they're hoping to get that by Friday.
Their "Railroading Hunger Food Drive" runs until 6pm Wednesday night - then again from 8am-6pm Thursday and Friday at the Union Pacific Railroad at One South Pyramid Way in Sparks.
