University of Nevada's School of Medicine is offering free screenings to Nevadans who were near the National Security Site in the 1950's and 1960s.

Back then it was known as the Nevada Test Site and was used to detonate nuclear bombs. The fallout from the radiation may have caused cancer in those who lived or worked nearby.

You can get screened Saturday at the Family Medicine Center on the UNR campus.

To schedule an appointment call Nevada Radiation Exposure Screening and Education Program at 702-992-6887.
