Last night-- we brought you a story about several young people from all across the nation, who are making a stop in Reno as they walk coast to coast to bring attention to the DREAM act.
Thursday, we caught up with the DREAM walkers who visited the Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada in downtown Reno. "I'm motivated to do this so that we can raise awareness about the federal DREAM Act and fix the legal status of these youth," says Jonatan Martinez, a walker from Georgia.
The walkers started their trek in San Francisco on March 10th.
They will walk and visit hundreds of communities across the nation until they reach Washington, D.C. by November 2nd.
Organizers say the walk will be made by undocumented and ally walkers in support of the federal DREAM act and more fair immigration policies.
