It's a weekend to have a little fun and help others. And there's no shortage of ways to do that. The Doctors' Wives Rummage SAle will be holding their annual rummage sale at the Reno Livestock Event's Center Saturday morning, Saint Anthony's Greek Church is holding a Taste of Greece Dinner to help stock up the Good Shepherd Clothes Closet and the Veterans Guest House in Reno is the beneficiary of an annual Radio-a-thon at the Atlantis on Saturday.

All that plus Snowfest in Tahoe. Enjoy!

Celebrate the Art of Tiffany:

The Tiffany family design legacy is celebrated in this unique mix of exhibitions featuring Louis Comfort Tiffany's stained glass of the art nouveau era and a rare collection of Tiffany & Co.'s decorative firearms. Charles Lewis Tiffany established Tiffany & Co. in 1837; his son Louis Comfort Tiffany later founded Tiffany Studios, renowned for exquisite decorative objects.

The three exhibitions, which run through March 20, are:
Out of the Forest: Art Nouveau Lamps includes twenty lamps by Tiffany Studios and other lamp manufacturers of the art nouveau era, all from the private collection of Byron Vreeland.

Snowfest Opening Ceremonies:

The 31st annual North Lake Tahoe SnowFest! Kicks off tonight under the stars, and on the snow! People come out of the woodwork to see the fireworks, laser show, and torchlight parade that take place tonight. If you are out there early, go by the KT-22 Sundeck to hear the sounds of the DJ's, and stay to listen the them dropping the beats down heavy after! Snowfest's Queen coronation happens at 6:30pm. Come down to the Annual Firefighter's Pancake Breakfast! Pancakes, Sausage, Coffee, Orange Juice & Milk with be served. Proceeds to benefit the North Tahoe Firefighters Association.

Annual Physician's Spouses Rummage Sale/ Livestock Events Center:

The 61st Annual Physicians' Spouses Rummage Sale sponsored by the Alliance with the Washoe County Medical Society (AWCMS), spans more than 20,000 square feet and includes furniture, collectibles, housewares, books, art, toys, children's, women's and men's clothing, sports equipment and accessories and much more. All funds raised are distributed toward community non-profit organizations and nursing school scholarships.

Come out for a fun filled day of sledding on saucer's into a blow up bowling course! Helmets required for sledders 18 and under, provided at event. Each team gets 3 chances to knock em down! Proceeds to benefit the TCDA
