A traffic stop in Reno has led to the arrest of a Sparks man on a felony weapons charge and other misdemeanors.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says a trooper pulled over a car in a construction zone on U.S. 395 shortly before 8 a.m. Monday.

Authorities say the driver -- 22-year-old Ryan Phillip White -- appeared nervous and was asked to get out of the car. The trooper then found a loaded semi-automatic pistol tucked in the waistband of his pants.

White was arrested on a felony charge of carrying a concealed weapon. He also was charged with misdemeanor offenses of speeding, having less than an ounce of marijuana, and excessive window tint.

Two other occupants in the car were cleared at the scene.

White's bail was set at $5,750. (AP)
