Crime Spree Suspect from Utah Will Stand Trial in Nevada

ELKO, Nev. (AP) -- A Nevada judge has ordered a Utah man to stand trial for a New Year's Eve carjacking.

The ruling came Wednesday in Elko after a two-day hearing.

Twenty-four-year-old Logan McFarland is charged with multiple felonies, including kidnapping, carjacking, robbery and larceny. He's not yet entered a plea.

Court papers say McFarland and Angela Atwood Hill tried to hijack a woman's car outside a West Wendover casino.

Hill faces similar charges, but is also accused of attempted murder because authorities say she shot the driver in the head.

McFarland and Hill were capture by authorities while walking across the Nevada desert.

McFarland is also a person of interest in the Dec. 1 slaying of 70-year-old Leroy Fullwood and his 69-year-old wife Ann during a burglary at their home in Mt. Pleasant.
