Smithridge and Bernice Mathews Elementary Schools will have hundreds of new books thanks to a donation Thursday.
Barnes and Noble chose the schools for its holiday book drive last holiday season and Thursday the kids got to see that donation of 400 books come in.
City National Bank matched the donation with about $2,000.
The new books will help students appreciate reading.
"That's a pretty good boost in the arm of our library for sure and the more books that we can get in the hands of the kids the better," Smithridge Elementary Principal Tom Ortman said.
