Nevada Wins at San Jose State 76-70 Saturday

Nevada is 21-4 and 10-1 in Western Athletic Conference play after defeating San Jose State (8-17, 1-9 WAC) 76-70 tonight.

Senior forward Dario Hunt posted his ninth double-double of the season and 20th of his career after scoring 11 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Hunt moved past Alex Boyd (1967-70) into fourth in school history with his 928 career rebounds. He now tied for 20th in WAC history after his performance tonight. Hunt led the team in rebounding for the 18th time this season and 55th time in his career. Tonight was the 15th time this year he grabbed a game-high in rebounds.

Senior forward Olek Czyz scored a career and game-high 27 points with 23 coming in the second half. Czyz had 10 rebounds to post his third double-double of the season and sixth of his career. It is the fifth time he topped the Pack in scoring this season and ninth of his career. It was also his third game-high of the year.

Junior guard Malik Story scored 23 points. It was Story's fourth 20-point game of the season and eighth of his career. Story made six 3-pointers, one off his career high of seven set earlier this year against Longwood.

With the win Nevada improved to 6-0 in WAC road games. It is the first time in school history the Pack is 6-0 after six WAC road games.

At 10-1 Nevada is two and one half games in front of New Mexico State (7-3) with three conference games remaining on the Pack's schedule.Nevada returns home to host Cal State Bakersfield in a nonconference game on Tuesday at7:05 p.m. PT.
