Small Smiles Dental Center of Reno will offer free dental screenings during "Healthy Smile, Happy Child Day" on February 9, 2012, at its location at 3362 S. McCarran Blvd.
"An estimated one in five children go without dental care each year," said Dr. James Mann, Lead Dentist at Small Smiles of Reno. "At Small Smiles that is one too many. With tooth decay being the single most common childhood disease, five times more common than asthma, we need to ensure that all children have access to quality dental care. We want to invite children and parents to participate in our free dental screenings to combat dental health problems and help keep their smiles healthy and happy for years to come."
The free screenings will be offered from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and are part of an effort to promote healthy smiles during Children's Dental Health Month in February.
Parents who are interested in scheduling an appointment for their child are encouraged to call (775) 329-5437.
