The U.S. Forest Service is conducting several prescribed burns up at Lake Tahoe this week.
Crews will be burning north of Emerald Bay, along Kingsbury Grade near North Benjamin, in the area of Logan Creek, near Kings Beach and near Elizabeth Road close to Homewood.
The Forest Service says people living near those areas who are sensitive to smoke should stay indoors. You may also see smoke in the areas near these burns.
The burns are set to continue through the end of the week and maybe even into the weekend, depending on the weather.
