Lakeside Drive Lane Closure for Caughlin Fire Rehab Work

More than two and a half months after the Caughlin Fire destroyed dozens of homes and charred nearly 2,000 acres the restoration work continues.

Starting Wednesday morning, crews will be hydroseeding nearly five acres of private land on the slopes of Windy Hill on the west side of Lakeside Drive above Bartley Ranch.

To complete the restoration work, Lakeside Drive in the Windy Hill area will have one lane closed from 8am to 3pm starting Wednesday, February 1st.

Flaggers will be directing traffic but Washoe County wants to remind you to plan for possible delays.
