Governor Sandoval Will Lead Trade Mission to Israel

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) -- Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval will lead a trade mission to Israel in May as part of the state's renewed economic development effort. 

Sandoval will travel with Nevada business and government representatives. He's also been invited to speak at the 18th International Agricultural Exhibition in Tel Aviv, May 15-17.  

The first-term Republican governor says the trip will give Nevada leaders a chance to discuss ways to work together in pursuit of jobs and investment. 

Economic development officials say other topics will include technologies to expand water supplies and development of other economic sectors, including cyber security, clean energy and technology commercialization.  

The Israel trade mission was announced Thursday. It will be funded through private-sector participation. The Israeli Consulate will also assume a share of the cost.
