Emergency personnel have lifted evacuation orders in select areas affected by the Washoe Drive Fire.

Residents evacuated from the Rolling Hills area and the north end of Eastlake Boulevard areas are now being allowed back into their homes. These two areas are in addition to the following areas that opened back up to residents Thursday afternoon:

  • Callahan Ranch Road
  • Fawn Lane
  • Galena Country Estates

  • St. James Village

Residents will be required to show identification before being allowed back home.

The following areas are still under evacuation:

  • Old Washoe City
  • Pleasant Valley

Citizens are reminded to please stay away from the affected areas if possible, as conditions are still unstable and fire and law enforcement teams are still working in the area. There are several downed power lines in the area as well, which can be dangerous.
