BAKERSFIELD, CAILF.— The Reno Bighorns lost a thriller in Bakersfield Friday night, falling one-point short to the Jam in the game's final seconds. Andre Emmett once again led the charge for the Bighorns with an efficient 29 points, converting 13 of 19 shot attempts. Terrance Thomas had 13 points and 10 assists while Blake Ahearn added 20 points of his own. Juan Patillo led the Jam with 18 points. The Bighorns lost the game 98-99 after Patillo hit a game-winning jump shot with 9.3 seconds remaining.

The game was close throughout with both teams taking leads and failing to provide a cushion. With 15.9 seconds remaining, Mo Charlo hit two clutch free throws to give the Bighorns a 98-97 lead. Following the Patillo jumper, Thomas had an opportunity to win the game for the Bighorns with an open three-point look, but the shot fell short.

The Bighorns return to Reno to take on the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, affiliate of the Indiana Pacers, Detroit Pistons and Milwaukee Bucks, on Jan 3rd and 4th at the Reno Events Center.
