Locals BBQ, a popular Carson City eatery that gained attention after the fatal shootings at a nearby IHOP restaurant in September, has closed.
The Nevada Appeal on Friday reports a note on the door thanks loyal customers.
Owner Ralph Swagler was among the first to call police on Sept.
6 when Eduardo Sencion opened fire in the parking lot with an assault rifle before storming the IHOP. Five people, including Sencion, were killed.
Bullets also pelted Locals BBQ, though the restaurant reopened after the tragedy.
The restaurant was open about five years. According to the Nevada Appeal, it had been just been named to the 2011 Rand McNally Road Atlas feature, "Best of the Road."
