The University of Nevada gave it's 19 seniors a big send off on Saturday afternoon at Mackay Stadium. The Wolf Pack hammered Idaho 56-3 to end a two-game losing streak. Senior quarterback, Tyler Lantrip was 24 of 30 for 340 yards and a career high 4 touchdown passes. The win means Nevada (7-5) clinched it's sixth winning season in seven years.
Hawaii lost to B.Y.U. on Saturday night meaning the Warriors aren't bowl eligible. With the Hawaii Bowl the only W.A.C. aligned bowl left, Nevada has a very good chance of getting an invitation for the December 24th game. But, its a bit more complicated than it seems. Sources close to the situation tell me that due to travel costs the W.A.C. could trade bowl spots with another conference. We could even see Nevada back in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl. The University says an announcement could come as late as Monday night.
