Community Gratitude Events to Honor Caughlin Fire Heroes

Posted: Updated:

Local businesses are joining forces to host an event, Community Gratitude, which will provide the local community with an opportunity to honor and thank all those that participated in helping with the Caughlin Ranch Fire by drawing on canvases that will be given to our community's local heroes.

During the December 14 event, canvases will be placed throughout the room and attendees are asked to come write a story, a thank you message, post a picture or draw a design on one of the many canvases available. The canvases will then be presented to the many organizations, groups and individuals that helped during the fire as a "thank you."

The event will give the local Truckee Meadows community the opportunity to show their appreciation and gratitude to the many firefighters, medical personnel, enforcement officers, schools, businesses, volunteers and city officials who helped save the thousands of homes and lives during the November 18 fire.

The event is free, open to public, and attendees are welcome to stop by 6774 South McCarran Blvd, Suite 102 anytime between 8:00am – 8:00pm.

For those that cannot attend the event, organizers will be creating a "Faces of the Caughlin Fire" photo collage and ask that photos of families and their "saved" house be emailed to Community_Gratitude_Event@yahoo.com
