Lodging Options for People Displaced by Fire

Aloha Inn will welcome victims of the fire and their pets (cats, dogs, and other small animals) at the Aloha Inn located at: 255 N. McCarran Blvd, Sparks, NV 89431.  We are just off of exit 19 on I-80.  We are offering them a flat rate of $29.95 plus tax, it comes to $34 even, for any room they need and NO pet fees.  We have smoking and non smoking rooms available.  Please feel free to give out our information to those people in need.  We would like to help out as much as possible.  Our telephone number is 775-358-2222 and we are open 24 hours a day.

The Ramada Hotel (1000 E 6th St) is offering families a special room rate of $29.00.  The Ramada is Pet Friendly

Peppermill

  • We are offering free rooms to those who have lost their homes through the Red Cross. Please contact the Red Cross for more information at 775-856-1000.
  • For those who are displaced by the fires, we are offering room rates starting at $29 with no resort fees, and are also accepting those who have pets.
  • Through the Red Cross, Peppermill is providing complimentary rooms for Red Cross volunteers coming to our community to aid in relief efforts. Please contact the Red Cross for more information at 775-856-1000.
  • All the families and victims are in our thoughts, as well as the brave firefighters and volunteers battling the blaze.

Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino is offering $69 rate for local residents affected by the fire. Call the hotel directly at 775-832-1234. They have a limited number of rooms that will accommodate pets as well.

Atlantis is working with the American Red Cross of Northern Nevada to provide complimentary rooms to community families who have lost or encountered extreme damage to their homes due to the SW Fire. The families must first contact the American Red Cross at 775-856-1000 for more information. They are sold out of the $29 rate. They've had 300 reservations today and are booked.

Boomtown is offering room rates for $29.

The Sands Regency At 4th and Arlington is offering a special $29 room rate plus tax and fees. Call (775) 336-2003 or go to the Sands to get this rate. There are Dog Friendly Rooms available.

John Ascuaga's Nugget has a $29 room rate for anyone affected by the fire.  They can go directly to the Nugget or call 775-356-3300. 

The Victorian Inn in Sparks is offering free housing for the families. First come, first serve. Bring your local ID.

The Holiday Inn in Sparks on Nugget Avenue is offering $29 a night rates for fire victims.  358-6900

Grand Sierra Resort is offering rooms at $29 per night for fire victims…….also RV space is available and cats are welcome.

Big Pines Mountain House of Tahoe has offered fire victims' a $20 a night room at 4083 Cedar St., in S. Lake Tahoe.  Phone number is 530-541-5155.

Restoration Church in Fernley is offering RV dry camping at their church property for any fire evacuee. Call Lee Anne Chaffin at 775-745-0075.

All rooms at the Gold Dust West Casino in Reno are free for anyone who was displaced by the fire.

Gold Dust West Carson City is offering special rates for those who may need it.

Boomtown Evacuation Rate RV Park $15 -  Evacuation Room Rate $29.

Eldorado offering $39 room rate for fire evacuees for anyone affected by the Caughlin Ranch Fire. Call reservations at 775-786-5700 or 888-808-7720. Eldorado is located at Virginia Street between 3rd and 5th Streets.

Harrah's is also offering $35 dollar room rates.

Baymont Inn at 2050 Market is offering $35 rates for fire evacuees.

The Association of Realtors has tracked down 176 homes available for short-term lease. They are working with 23 property management companies who are keeping a current list.

Some of the homes have space for large animals or livestock and some have room for RV's.

"The best thing to do is to call the American Red Cross because they have the list and the Association of Realtors is updating them with anything new. And they get new property managers to get involved everyday," says Sherri Cartinella.
