A benefit is being held Friday night for the victims of this month's deadly shooting at the IHOP in Carson City.

Investigators are still trying to figure out why Eduardo Sencion shot 11 people before turning the gun on himself.

Nevada Army National Guard Lt. Col. Heath Kelly, Sgt. 1st Class Miranda McElhiney and Master Sgt. Christian Riege were killed in the September 6th morning shooting.

Florence Donovan-Gunderson of South Lake Tahoe also died in the attack.

Organizers say the money raised will help the families dealing with unexpected medical costs.

"To have something this big happen to our community, but to have so much of the community come together and for us to be able to actually do something for the families is just amazing," says Jessica Carnett.

The 7pm benefit will be held at Jimmy G's Cigar Bar in Carson City located at 311 North Carson Street.
