Woman: "Responding up here. We're gonna have many casualities."
Inaudible: "Copy. Did something go directly into the bleachers?"
"We have an aicraft down. We need Careflight. We need to notify REMSA (ambulance) down here."
Just three minutes later, first responders arrived on scene and briefly described the chaos.
"Battalion One, 13, Truck One, Medic 3-33 for the Air Races, aicraft into the stands. Unknown how many at this time. Could be as many as 50 injured.
And 40 minutes later, crews were trying to piece together what happened as they continued calling for more resources.
"I still have air references needed. What other resources do you have inbound? All others keep coming until further notice. Do we need anymore road controls? All helicopters needed. More helicopters needed."
Dozens of emergency responders were on standby to help the victims injured in the accident.
"We're on the west side with unified command. Where do you want the Citifare bus sir?"
"I've got about 10 doctors, 20 nurses and 50 EMTs standing by. (Inaudible) Buses. Do we have any patients over there?"
"All passengers are packaged to be transported at this time."
