You can imagine how difficult the news has been for the Sencion family.
Because of this tragedy, they've asked Reno lawyer, Joe Laub to speak on their behalf.
Laub says the entire family is emotionally distraught.
The last day and a half hasn't been easy and they are grieving over the situation and the victims' families. "They didn't see it coming, they didn't see it in his personality, they didn't see anything that would trigger his personality to carry out such a heinous and aggregious act
Laub says the Sencion family is shocked at what Eduardo allegedly did.
The family told him Eduardo always thought highly of the men and women serving our country and they don't believe the military was an intended target.
Laub has known the Sencion family for three years giving them legal advice and guidance on various issues.
He says Eduardo had some psychological issues in 2000, but received counseling for it.
He also says he's just as shocked as the family right now. "I'm actually in a bit of disbelief. His actions seem so uncharacteristic. An abberation of the person that he displayed when he was in our office."
Laub says the Sencion family will make a statement when they feel emotionally ready and there's no timeline of when that could be.
