Firefighters worked quickly to put out a wildfire on Peavine Mountain Sunday afternoon.
Sierra Front says it started burning on the Verdi-side of the mountain around 3:45 p.m. Crews say it was contained at 75 acres due to the quick attack from air tankers.
Authorities are now looking for persons of interest in the blaze. Sierra Fire says they are looking for people who drove a white Ford pick-up truck and a red or burgundy-colored SUV in the area before the fire started.
If you have any information, you're being asked to call Sierra Fire at 354-9529 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
