"Actually it's been a lot of fun. I've loved it. I feel great. The experience has been really exciting and fun."

Hard to believe but Therese Kehoe is talking about her weight loss program.

Therese is an avid horse rider. After losing 50 pounds in 3 months, she says getting on a horse is much easier. Not to mention the boost in energy she now has. "I think this is a program I can stay on for the rest of my life."

So what is the program? It's physician supervised by Dr. Louis Bonaldi at The Center for Plastic Surgery. It's based on the paleo diet which relies on meat, fish, fruits and vegetables, nuts and eggs. No dairy. No sugar. No wheat.

To help you ease into it, you are given injections once a week. Sandy Bledsoe is the weight loss coach. "100% of people lose weight on this program.  It teaches you correct eating habits. Not to go hungry but to eat plenty of the right foods. So it's a lifestyle change."

You get weekly injections to help you curb your appetite and keep your energy high. "By getting the injections, which is a combo of all your high complex vitamins and by getting the appetite suppressant which helps you to overcome the cravings for sugar, dairy and gluten, you're able to start a weight loss and average weight loss is 3-4 pounds a week," says Bledsoe.

Dan Cekinovich was stuck at 207 pounds. He wanted to lose around 20. He was able to do that in just 4 weeks. He's off one of his high blood pressure medications, his diabetes numbers have dropped significantly and he sleeps better. "I no longer have to sleep with my cpap machine which is just fantastic. If you've ever worn one you know what I'm talking about."

The other key component is exercise. So it's truly a lifestyle changing program. You learn to eat better, more healthy foods. You are encouraged to exercise. And when you put those two things together, the pounds come off.

The cost is $199 initiation fee and then $50 a week.  For more information, call The Center for Plastic Surgery at 775-828-7400 or go online to www.thecpsd.com
