Several Area Free Flu Shot Clinics Scheduled

Several places across northern Nevada are offering free shots for the upcoming flu season.

The Health Access Washoe County (HAWC) Community Health Centers will give free-shot vouchers to the uninsured who is part of their program to redeem at any CVS Pharmacy.

To make an appointment call 329-6300.

There will also be free flu vaccinations in the Carson City area on October 16th from 9am to 1pm at the Carson Senior Center at 911 Beverly Drive, the Nevada National Guard at 2444 Fairview Drive at the East Fork Fire Station 12 at 3620 North Sunridge Drive.

And lastly, the 2010 Rotary Family Free Flu Shot Day will be held October 16th from 9am to 1pm at the University of Nevada West Stadium Parking Garage.

This is a Drive-Thru Clinic only. Pre-registration and wristband distribution will be held from 7am to 7pm October 6th to October 8th at the Washoe County Health District located at 1001 East Ninth Street. Wristbands will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while supply lasts.
