Firefighters are getting and upper hand on two wildfires.

PINE NUTS FIRE

The Pine Nuts Fire is burning right now in the Pine Nut Mountain range east of Minden.

So far, the fire has burned 88 acres on Mineral Peak.  It's about nine miles east of Johnson Lane in Douglas County and 13 miles south of Dayton.

There are no road closures in this area, but people in the area should be aware of fire crews on Johnson Lane and other roads leading into the fire area.

Fire crews worked throughout the night to get a line around the fire.

Fire officials say the fire is fully contained. Crews are still on scene mopping up the area.

They say the fire was caused by a lightning strike.

BOULDER FIRE

The Boulder Fire is burning six miles south of Wellington and Nevada State Route 208.

This fire started shortly after 5:00 pm Friday and so far has burned about 150 acres, and the blaze is 80% contained.

Firefighters say lightning ignited the fire.

They expect full containment sometime Monday evening.
