* Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
South central Lander County in north central Nevada...

* Until 430 PM PDT

* At 132 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding in the
advisory area. Over one inch of rain has already fallen in spots
and an additional inch or more is possible.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Railroad Pass.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

Central White Pine County in northeastern Nevada...

* Until 430 PM PDT

* At 131 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Around 1 inch of rain has fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Ruth and locations north of Ruth along Highway 50.

Additional rainfall of 0.50 to 0.75 inches is expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
