Very cold quick moving winter storm has moved south and east this morning but it did produce some valley snow and 4-8" over the Sierra with up to 3" in the foothills to the west. Drier air is moving in with high pressure for late today into Thursday. Another storm, this one with more moisture will move into the region late Friday and early Saturday and this will produce another round of snow for the Sierra so look for road problems late Friday and Saturday morning. Cold today with highs in the low 40's with 30's at the lake warming into the mid 50's by Thursday and Friday, just a sign of early spring with wild temperature swings. Next week under high pressure we may see highs in the mid to upper 60's, yes you read it right.
