A new store dedicated to Nevada is now open just in time for the holidays.
The owners say the "Nevada Store" is much more than just a souvenir shop because customers have a big say in what they sell. "Everyday we are meeting new people. They have products we like to carry. It's really a diverse talented group of people," says co-owner Larry Dunn.
People can buy everything from homemade honey and salsa to books and photographs by local authors and artists. "There are many things that people want and you can get it all here," says customer Christie Gescheider.
The best seller at the store these days is the University of Nevada Wolf Pack gear. With the team heading to the New Mexico Bowl later this month, people are stocking up for victory.
Visitors can also take in a little history from old maps dating back to the 1800's to musical flashbacks like Grateful Dead posters from local concerts back in the 1960's.
The store which is located inside the Moana West Shopping Center is actually moving across the street after the first of the New Year. It's already running out of room for all the homegrown products.
