The city of Reno has an opportunity to be one of the first locations across the country to experience Google's high-speed gigabit internet. The company says its networks will deliver internet speeds more than 100 times faster than what most Americans have access to today - with over 1-gigabit per second, fiber-to-the-home connections.
Google says it will offer the service at a competitive price to at least 50,000 and potentially up to 500,000 people. The city of Reno will submit a proposal to Google by March 26th. City officials want your feedback. They say community support is a key component of this process.
