
From police who will be out and ready to bust you if you're driving drunk, to sports books banking on your bets. Law enforcement will be out in beefed up numbers the big game.
And some of them are teaming up to keep the roads safe. "They're either going to have a party at their house or they're gonna go to their favorite casino and watch the game. You're figuring you're gonna be exposed to the TV set for about 5 consecutive hours. That's a lot of time to consume alcohol," says Trooper Chuck Allen.
The Nevada Highway Patrol is adding 4 troopers to the staff Sunday.
They will look for drunk drivers and follow up on phone calls about possible impaired drivers.
N.H.P. is also teaming up with Sparks Police for a D.U.I. checkpoint on Sunday evening.
Trooper Allen says people may not plan on drinking, but sometimes that can change once the party gets into full swing.
And that decision can end up with devastating results. "I think unless people know someone who's had a D.U.I. or they've lost a family member or close friend, this particular law doesn't mean a lot to them. But, it does."
AAA is offering drivers a free ride home if you've had too much to drink and they'll tow your car home for free up to 5 miles.
