During last week's ‘Someone 2 Know' you met a boy who's been wearing loaned hearing aids because his family cannot afford a new one.
Some generous young ladies in our community are helping him get his very own.
At a special Job's Daughters meeting, Fransisco Avilla received a nearly $3,000 check to go towards custom hearing aids.
Nationally, Job's Daughters is dedicated to supporting the Hearing Impaired Kids Endowment Fun or HIKE. "Over the 24 years that HIKE has been in existence, the girls have given out over $3 million," says past Supreme Guardian Jeannine Hinman.
Honor Queen Lacy Artemis adds, "We're just supporting other youth groups, so it's helping out and reaching out to our community."
The girls' leadership organization started 89 years ago for girls ages ten to 20 years old.
