"My daughter is still missing. She has been, for 3 years and 4 months, one week and 3 days," says Carla Brown.
The family of Jennifer Casper-Ross wants to know what happened to Jennifer, and they're asking for the public's help for clues.
Carla is posting flyers with her daughter's picture on them, and she's asking downtown Reno businesses to do the same. She says someone knows something about her daughter's disappearance.
Brown says after the Brianna Denison case earlier this year, she wanted to make the trip to Reno from Salt Lake City, and try to stir up attention and hopefully some answers about what happened to her daughter.
"We'll find her one day," says Carla. "She's got to be somewhere."
30-year-old Casper-Ross hasn't been seen or heard from since the early morning hours of May 5th, 2005.
"The more flyers I hang, the more persistance I show, the more response I get," explains Carla.
Jennifer went from dancing on a Las Vegas stage as a showgirl to making money as an exotic dancer. She then left her job at Wild Orchid and one week later, she went missing.
Jennifer was a year away from graduating from the University of Nevada, Reno, and her mom says she was on the Dean's List.
"She started messing with drugs a little bit," says Carla. "It was psychologically devastating to Jennifer to have to do wthat from what she was accustomed to. She was accustomed to being a showgirl."
At the time of Jennifer's disappearance she was recently diagnosed as bi-polar, stressed about finances and having marriage problems says Carla. She says on the morning of May 5th, 2005, Jennifer and her husband were arguing.
Jennifer walked about 10 blocks to the cab company where her mom worked, off of Gentry Way in Reno.
"When she found out I wasn't at work that day I guess she just freaked out and ran out the door, broke her shoes, jumped over a fence," says Carla.
Police dogs were able to follow Jennifer's scent from the fence to the street, but then it stopped.
"The most logical thing would have been go home and get a pair of shoes," says Carla.
Carla says Jennifer's husband was granted a divorce about 5 months after she went missing. Carla hasn't seen her grandson in the last 3 years.
"If she's still alive, how come she hasn't called us? I don't think she'd go this long without contacting somebody," says Carla.
Jennifer's D.N.A. is run everytime a female body is found, anywhere. Carla says Reno police still have her daughter's case open.
"Don't forget her. Please don't forget her," Carla sobs. "Somebody has to have seen something. They might know something that they don't know is important. But, it could be. Jennifer needs to rest."
Carla has tried to call Jennifer's ex-husband, but he hasn't returned her calls.
Carla plans on staying in Reno for another few weeks and hopes to open a bank account for a reward fund before going back to Salt Lake City.
