An Elko County Sheriff's deputy remains in critical condition after being shot multiple times 8:30 pm Thursday at a home on Ruby Avenue in Wells.
Deputies say they responded to a domestic dispute and found the suspect 43-year-old Peter Coca on the roof armed with a rifle. When deputies ordered him to get down, they say he fired 20 pounds at them hitting Deputy Lenwood Van Natter three times.
Authorities say Coca eventually ran away with the help of his wife, Tracie. She was later arrested for aiding and abetting an attempted murderer. Her bail is set at $50,000.
Coca is described as 5'6" and weighs about 150 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
Coca is considered armed and dangerous.
If you see him call the Elko County Sheriff's Office at 775-738-3421 or call 911 immediately.
Van Natter was flown to University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City where he underwent surgery for injuries to his hip, chest and legs.
